CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION AT ADK

The two general managers Alexander Danner and Robert Kohler celebrated both their 50th birthday this year and are now together 100 years old. They used this occasion to organize a centennial celebration with all ADK employees. This took place on the 26th October 2018 with a trip to Walldorf and Hockenheim.

The day began with a relaxed bus ride to Walldorf, where ADK is currently finalizing an exclusive office complex. The employees were welcomed with a champagne reception and pretzels. This was followed by a division into groups, in which then the impressive building was visited. The interesting guided tours through office space and technology were taken over by senior executives of ADK, who supervise the project.

Afterwards, the journey continued to Hockenheim in the restaurant Motodrom, where a rich lunch buffet waited for the ADK employees. Freshly strengthened and in a good mood, the tour started with two friendly guides from the Hockenheimring. The start was on the south grandstand in the impressive VIP area, from which you can see almost the entire racetrack. It continued with a virtual tour of the entire Hockenheimring and many exciting information such as the g-values when accelerating and braking a Formula One car. Then the pit lane was visited, looked at what is going on in the headquaters of the race management and who wanted, could also jump on champion's podium with a big champagne bottle. Afterwards, the fully occupied bus was allowed to do a lap on the famous Formula One circuit, finding its ideal line, which turned into a positive shared experience.

Following to the eventful stopover, ADK let the evening pass pleasantly in the "Weinbau Pavillon" in Gundelsheim. After a wine reception, the delicious dinner and a wonderful get-together in the rustic wine barn, we finally went back to Neresheim.
